Beginning of the 90s. Andrey Krutitsky investigates a case of a strange suicide of a young mother. Before slitting her wrists, Olga Maltseva suffocated her son Kolya with a pillow. Olga's lover also ends his life in suicide after a conversation with the investigator. The investigator realizes that he has encountered something anomalous, inexplicable, and terrifying.
